Absolutely delicious! I used to buy a port wine cheese spread in a brown crock from a Hickory Farms catalog. This is so much better! And I know exactly what is in it!
Thank you so much for the sweet message! It’s such a fun and easy recipe, we are so happy you enjoyed it 🙂 happy new year!
This is perfect to have in the fridge for when unexpected guest show up! I have 2 dark brown ceramic soup bowls with lids that were my mom’s. She used to make baked beans in them, but they are now my Somerset Ridge Port Wine Cheese Crocks. I just pull one out of the fridge and serve with crackers and your Ruby Red Wine! My unexpected guest always come back for more!
This sounds amazing! We’ll be right over 🙂
Thank you for the kind comments!
Oh thank crackers I found this.
All these other recipes kept saying to mix in cayenne pepper for the red streaks. I don’t know if these people never tasted port wine cheese before trying to make their portwine cheese spread recipe, or didn’t know port wine was a wine or… I don’t know what was wrong with all of them….
But this, this is full of things I’ve tasted in port wine spreads. Most notably port wine.
