Bittersweet Chocolate-Port Sauce

Serving suggestion: Drizzle over a brownie with a scoop of coffee ice cream

Ingredients
  

  • 3/4 cup whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter 1/2 a stick
  • 8 ounces bittersweet or semisweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1/4 cup Somerset Ridge Tawny Port

Method
 

  1. Bring whipping cream, whole milk, and unsalted butter to simmer in small heavy saucepan
  2. Remove saucepan from heat and add chopped chocolate
  3. Whisk mixture until smooth
  4. Stir in tawny Port
  5. Cover and chill
  6. Warm over medium-low heat
  7. Pour over your favorite dessert!
